1930s Stille Scissors Still Going Strong

A very old pair of scissors turned up at Stille for regular sharpening from a private hospital in Stockholm. After sending back the scissors to the customer, the service staff mentioned it to the marketing department. They called the customer and tried to buy back the instrument for marketing purposes. The customer’s reply was that this would have been OK, but now they didn’t know which scissors they were since it was out on the trays again with all other instruments.

As far as Stille know, this instrument is still used on a daily basis. It was manufactured in the 1930s, so now it’s somewhere around 70 years old.

Stille quite frequently get similar very old instruments back for regular service from their customers, even though this extreme high age is not very common, but 40-50 year old instruments shows up regularly.
